Metro Neomatik 39

The NOMOS Metro Neomatik 39 1113 debuted in 2017 as the larger automatic version of the Metro. Designed by Mark Braun, it retains the collection’s narrow bezel, wire-style lugs, domed sapphire crystal, and diamond-knurled crown, while increasing the case diameter to 38.5mm. The stainless steel case measures 38.5mm in diameter, 8.4mm in height, and 45.5mm from lug to lug. It has a sapphire crystal case back and is rated to 5 atm. The case remains slim for an automatic watch, supported by the 3.2mm height of the DUW 3001 calibre. The galvanized white silver-plated dial has grey indexes at 3, 9, and 12 o’clock. The hands are oxidized black, with a red central seconds hand. Compared with the 35mm Metro Neomatik, the larger case gives the dial more open space while keeping the same reduced display of central hours, minutes, and seconds. The DUW 3001 is an automatic in-house calibre measuring 12 ¾ lignes in diameter. It has 37 jewels, a power reserve of up to 43 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with quick-change spring bars and a 19mm lug width.
