Lux Zikade

Ref. 941

The NOMOS Lux Zikade 941 was introduced in 2014 as one of the smaller rose gold models in the Lux collection. This reference uses a tonneau-shaped 18k rose gold case measuring 34.0mm by 38.5mm, paired with a white silver-plated dial with lemon yellow printing and gold hands. Like the other Lux models, it belongs to NOMOS’ Atelier line and is powered by the manually wound DUW 2002, developed specifically for the tonneau case architecture of the collection. The rose gold case measures 9.0mm in height and 46.1mm from lug to lug. It is fitted with sapphire crystal glass on the front and a sapphire crystal case back, allowing the shaped movement to remain visible. Water resistance is rated at 3 atm, making the watch splash-proof. The case form gives Lux a distinct position within the NOMOS catalogue, with a softly rectangular profile, integrated proportions, and a crown executed in matching 18k rose gold. The dial is galvanized and white silver-plated, with lemon yellow printing that defines the Zikade version within the smaller Lux range. Its two-handed layout keeps the display restrained, with the gold hands matching the case material. Compared with the grey-printed Hermelin version, this reference has a brighter dial execution while retaining the same case size, movement, and general display format. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 2002, a manually wound movement developed for the Lux collection and shaped to match the tonneau case. It measures 3.6mm in height and 32.6mm by 22.6mm, with 23 jewels and a power reserve of up to 84 hours. The movement features fine sunburst polishing, screwed gold chatons, hand-bevelled and polished edges, and a hand-engraved balance cock. The watch is fitted to a dark brown cushioned remborde Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with a 17mm lug width.
