Lux Weissgold Hell
Ref. 921
The NOMOS Lux white gold light 921 was introduced in 2013 as a larger white gold version of the Lux collection. This reference uses a tonneau-shaped 18k white gold case measuring 36.0mm by 40.5mm, paired with a white silver-plated dial and rhodium-plated hands. It belongs to NOMOS’ Atelier line and is powered by the manually wound DUW 2002, a shaped movement developed specifically for the Lux case architecture. The white gold case measures 9.0mm in height and 48.6mm from lug to lug. It is fitted with sapphire crystal glass on the front and a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated at 3 atm, making the watch splash-proof. Compared with the smaller rose gold Lux models, this reference has a larger case format, while retaining the same softly rectangular tonneau profile and precious-metal construction. The dial is galvanized and white silver-plated, without additional colour printing. This gives the Lux white gold light a more monochrome appearance than the Hermelin, Zikade, and Zobel references, with the dial, case, and rhodium-plated hands all staying within a light silver-toned range. The two-handed layout keeps the display minimal, while the fine minute track gives the dial its primary printed structure. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 2002, a manually wound movement shaped to fit the tonneau case. It measures 3.6mm in height and 32.6mm by 22.6mm, with 23 jewels and a power reserve of up to 84 hours. The movement features fine sunburst polishing, screwed gold chatons, hand-bevelled and polished edges, and a hand-engraved balance cock. The watch is fitted to a black cushioned remborde Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with an 18mm lug width.
