Ludwig 33 Champagner / Open Case Back

The NOMOS Ludwig 33 champagne 248 debuted in 2017 as a 32.8mm hand-wound Ludwig with a champagne-toned dial. Within the Ludwig collection, it combines the model’s rounded case, Roman numeral display, and small-seconds layout with a warmer dial treatment intended for the smaller 33mm format. Its stainless steel case measures 32.8mm in diameter, 6.5mm in height, and 42.2mm lug to lug. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal and a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is currently rated to 5 atm, while earlier versions of this reference were rated to 3 atm. The dial is galvanized in champagne gold and features Ludwig’s characteristic Roman numerals, including IIII in place of IV, together with a recessed small-seconds register. The main hands are rhodium-plated, while the small-seconds hand is neon orange. This reference is fitted on a beige vegan velour remborde strap with a 17mm lug width. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 4001, a hand-wound movement measuring 23.3mm in diameter and 2.6mm in height, with 17 jewels and a power reserve of up to 53 hours. Earlier versions of this reference were fitted with the Alpha movement before the transition to DUW 4001.
