Ludwig Gold Twice Unique - Moiré
Ref. 211.U7
The NOMOS Ludwig gold 211.U7 debuted in 2026 as a one-of-a-kind Twice Unique execution in the Moiré collection, based on the Ludwig design. Within the Twice Unique format, each design is created as an inseparable pair in stainless steel and 18 kt gold, with five models per collection. In Moiré, Ludwig is one of those five models, its dial reworked with a dark blue galvanized guilloché surface featuring a fine wave pattern. Its case is executed in 18 kt gold and measures 35.0mm in diameter, 6.3mm in height, and 45.0mm lug to lug. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal and a solid gold crown. The slender straight lugs and rounded case profile remain unchanged from the underlying Ludwig design. The dial is specific to the Moiré collection. It is executed in dark blue galvanized guilloché and features a finely detailed wave motif that shifts in appearance depending on angle and light. In the Ludwig version, the railway minute track remains in place around the outer edge, where it interacts with the patterned surface beneath. As part of the Moiré treatment, the standard white silver-plated Ludwig dial is replaced by this guilloché construction, while the model’s characteristic classical layout is retained. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 4001, a hand-wound in-house movement measuring 23.3mm in diameter and 2.6mm in height, with 17 jewels and a power reserve of up to 53 hours. DUW 4001 remains one of NOMOS’ core manually wound calibres and is used here as the base movement for Ludwig. This reference is fitted on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with an 18mm lug width.
