Ludwig Gold Doré

The NOMOS Ludwig Gold Doré 212.GOB is the gold-handed version of the 35mm Ludwig Gold, with an 18k yellow gold case, a solid gold case back, and a white silver-plated dial. NOMOS presents this reference as a return of a vintage Ludwig execution that had not been available for a long period, now fitted with the hand-wound DUW 4001 calibre. The case measures 35mm in diameter, 6.3mm in height, and 45mm from lug to lug. It has a sapphire crystal front, a rounded and tapered case profile, and slightly curved lugs. The crown is made from gold, matching the case and closed case back. Water resistance is rated to 3 atm. The galvanized white silver-plated dial uses Roman numerals, a railroad minute track, and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock. The railroad minute track is specific to the Ludwig line within the NOMOS collection. On this Doré version, the hands are executed in gold, giving the reference a warmer dial-side appearance than the blue-handed Ludwig Gold 212.GOB. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 4001, a manually wound in-house calibre. It measures 10 ½ lignes in diameter and 2.6mm in height, has 17 jewels, and offers a power reserve of up to 53 hours. NOMOS identifies the DUW 4001 as the successor to the former Alpha calibre. The watch is supplied on a brown Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with an 18mm lug width.
