Ludwig Gold Enamel White Doré

The NOMOS Ludwig Gold Enamel White Doré 216 combines the 35mm Ludwig Gold case with NOMOS’ enamel white dial execution, gold hands, and the hand-wound DUW 4001 calibre. Here, enamel white refers to a glossy white dial finish rather than fired enamel, while Doré identifies the gold-handed version of this reference. The case measures 35mm in diameter, 6.7mm in height, and 45mm from lug to lug. It is made from 18k yellow gold and fitted with a sapphire crystal front and sapphire crystal case back. The case has a slender bezel, a rounded profile, and slightly curved lugs, with a gold crown matching the case material. Water resistance is rated to 3 atm. The glossy white dial uses the Ludwig’s traditional layout of Roman numerals, baton hour markers, a fine railroad minute track, and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock. The gold hands correspond with the case material and give this version a warmer dial-side appearance than the tempered blue-hand version. The display consists of central hours and minutes with subsidiary seconds. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 4001, a manually wound in-house calibre measuring 10 ½ lignes in diameter and 2.6mm in height. It has 17 jewels, a power reserve of up to 53 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch is supplied on a brown Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with an 18mm lug width.
