Ludwig Neomatik

The NOMOS Ludwig Neomatik 282 places the Ludwig design in a 36mm automatic format, using the DUW 3001 calibre inside a stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal back. It keeps the collection’s Roman numeral dial structure, while adding the more graphic neomatik details of oxidized black hands, cyan blue minute numerals, and a red central seconds hand. The case measures 36mm in diameter, 7mm in height, and 46mm from lug to lug. It has a domed sapphire crystal front and a sapphire crystal case back. The case remains close in scale to the hand-wound Ludwig models, with a slender bezel, discreet lugs, and a slim profile for an automatic watch. Current specifications list water resistance at 5 atm, an increase from the earlier 3 atm rating. The galvanized white silver-plated dial combines Roman numerals with Arabic minute numerals, giving this reference a more contemporary dial layout than the standard hand-wound Ludwig. The oxidized black hands are paired with a red seconds hand, while the dial retains the Ludwig’s classical overall structure. The display consists of central hours, minutes, and seconds. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 3001, an automatic in-house calibre measuring 12 ¾ lignes in diameter and 3.2mm in height. It has 27 jewels, a power reserve of up to 43 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with an 18mm lug width.
