Ludwig Neomatik 39

The NOMOS Ludwig Neomatik 39 250 places the automatic Ludwig design in a larger 38.5mm stainless steel case. It uses the DUW 3001 calibre inside a thin case with a sapphire crystal back, while combining the Ludwig’s Roman numeral dial layout with Arabic minute numerals at five-minute intervals. The case measures 38.5mm in diameter, 7mm in height, and 48.5mm from lug to lug. It has a sapphire crystal front with anti-reflective coating on the inner side, plus a sapphire crystal case back. The case retains the Ludwig’s slender bezel and discreet lugs, while the larger diameter gives the dial more open space than the 36mm Ludwig Neomatik. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The galvanized white silver-plated dial uses Roman numerals, with IIII instead of IV, combined with an outer minute scale carrying Arabic numerals at five-minute positions. The tempered blue steel hands follow the traditional Ludwig configuration. The display consists of central hours, minutes, and seconds. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 3001, an automatic in-house calibre measuring 12 ¾ lignes in diameter and 3.2mm in height. It has 27 jewels, a power reserve of up to 43 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with a 19mm lug width.
