Ludwig 33 Duo Enamel White

The NOMOS Ludwig 33 Duo Enamel White 242 is a two-hand version of the Ludwig in a compact 32.8mm stainless steel case. It combines the collection’s Roman numerals and railroad minute track with NOMOS’ enamel white dial execution, a glossy white finish rather than fired enamel, and omits the small seconds display found on most Ludwig models. The case measures 32.8mm in diameter, 6.5mm in height, and 42.2mm from lug to lug. It has a sapphire crystal front and a closed stainless steel case back. The case uses the Ludwig’s slender bezel, rounded profile, and slightly curved lugs, with water resistance rated to 3 atm. This was also the water resistance rating at launch, listed at the time as 30 meters. The glossy white dial uses black Roman numerals, a fine railroad minute track, and tempered blue hands. Without a subsidiary seconds display, the layout is more reduced than the standard hand-wound Ludwig, showing only central hours and minutes. Power comes from the NOMOS Alpha.2, a manually wound in-house calibre based on the Alpha movement and adapted for smaller two-hand models. It measures 10 ½ lignes in diameter and 2.6mm in height, with 17 jewels and a power reserve of up to 43 hours. The watch is supplied on a brown Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with a 17mm lug width.
