Zürich Weltzeit Midnight Blue

The NOMOS Zürich Worldtimer midnight blue 807 was introduced in 2014 as the blue-dial version of the Zürich Worldtimer, also known historically as Zürich Weltzeit True Blue or Nachtblau. It uses the same 39.9mm stainless steel case and world-time architecture as the white-dial reference, with a galvanized blue dial, airport-code city display, 24-hour indication, and pusher-operated time-zone adjustment. Unlike the earliest Zürich Worldtimer reference with the Xi movement, this version is specified with the DUW 5201 and the NOMOS swing system. The stainless steel case measures 39.9mm in diameter, 10.9mm in height, and 49.4mm from lug to lug. It is fixed with six screws and fitted with a sapphire crystal case back, while the front uses a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Current water resistance is rated at 5 atm, whereas earlier versions of this reference were rated to 30 meters. The Zürich case is distinguished by its inward-curving lugs and the small separation between the lugs and bezel, which gives the case a more layered profile than many other NOMOS designs. The galvanized blue dial combines the main time display with a world-time city ring and 24-hour indication. The selected time zone is shown through the city display and adjusted by pusher, while the 24-hour scale provides day-night orientation. The rhodium-plated hands are faceted, giving them sharper reflective edges against the darker dial surface. The blue execution, previously associated with the True Blue or Nachtblau name, gives this reference a more tonal appearance than the white-dial Zürich Worldtimer while retaining the same functional layout. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 5201, an in-house automatic movement with world-time and 24-hour displays, equipped with the NOMOS swing system. It measures 5.7mm in height, has a diameter of 31.0mm, and offers a power reserve of up to 42 hours. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch is fitted to a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with a 20mm lug width.
