Minimatik 39 Date Blue

The NOMOS Minimatik 39 Date Blue 1252 is the dark blue dial version of the 39.5mm Minimatik 39 Date, combining the collection’s rounded stainless steel case with a hand-wound date movement and a gold-framed date window. It is one of three versions of the Minimatik 39 Date, alongside the white silver-plated and gold-accented models. The stainless steel case measures 39.5mm in diameter, 7.5mm in height, and 47.7mm from lug to lug. It has a domed sapphire crystal front and a sapphire crystal case back. The case is conically shaped and tapers slightly towards the dial side, with softly integrated lugs and a slim profile for a hand-wound watch with date. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The dark blue dial uses rhodium-plated hands, a small seconds display at 6 o’clock, and a minute track with Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals. The date window is placed at 3 o’clock and framed in gold. Its large aperture is enabled by the DUW 4601 construction, with the date ring positioned around the outer edge of the movement. On this version, the date ring is matched to the dark blue dial. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 4601, a manually wound in-house calibre measuring 15 ⅓ lignes in diameter and 2.8mm in height. It has 23 jewels, a power reserve of up to 52 hours, and a patented date mechanism. The movement is visible through the large sapphire crystal case back, with sunbeam ribbing extending across the date-ring plate. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with a 20mm lug width.
