Minimatik 39 Date

The NOMOS Minimatik 39 Date 1250 is the white silver-plated version of the 39.5mm Minimatik 39 Date, a hand-wound dress watch with a quickset date and the DUW 4601 calibre. It forms part of a three-version Minimatik 39 Date group, alongside the gold-accented and blue-dial variants, and places the date display within the softer case and dial architecture of the Minimatik line. The stainless steel case measures 39.5mm in diameter, 7.5mm in height, and 47.7mm from lug to lug. It has a domed sapphire crystal front and a sapphire crystal case back. The case is conically shaped and tapers slightly towards the dial side, while the lugs transition softly into the case. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The galvanized white silver-plated dial has rhodium-plated hands, a small seconds display at 6 o’clock, and a minute track with Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals. The date window is positioned at 3 o’clock and framed in gold. Its large aperture is made possible by the construction of the DUW 4601, which places the date ring around the outside of the movement. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 4601, a manually wound in-house calibre measuring 15 ⅓ lignes in diameter and 2.8mm in height. It has 23 jewels and a power reserve of up to 52 hours. The movement has a patented date mechanism and is visible through the large sapphire crystal case back, with sunbeam ribbing extending across the date-ring plate. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with a 20mm lug width.
