The Eberhard Contodat 41156.05 debuted in 2025. The Contodat Automatic is a mechanical wristwatch with automatic winding, inspired by an Eberhard & Co. model from the 1970s that was originally produced only as a chronograph. Its design preserves the balanced, symmetrical dial layout of the historic reference, featuring a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock and a distinctive trapezoidal date aperture at 3 o’clock. The interplay of soleil and azuré textures across the dial surface adds both depth and vintage character. This model features a stainless steel case with a polished bezel, domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, screw-down crown, and a screwed steel case back engraved with golden details and the Latin phrase “UBI TU IBI EGO.” The integrated steel bracelet alternates polished and satin-finished surfaces and is fitted with Eberhard’s patented 2CLICK® deployant clasp. The black dial presents a sunburst center framed by an azuré-finished outer ring. Applied luminous hour markers and rhodium-plated skeletonized baton hands provide legibility, while the orange-accented small seconds hand introduces a subtle contrast. A trapezoidal date window with applied frame completes the dial layout at 3 o’clock. Inside ticks the self-winding caliber SW290-1, displaying hours, minutes, small seconds, and date.
