The Eberhard Contodat 41156.04 debuted in 2025. The Contodat Automatic is a mechanical wristwatch with automatic winding, inspired by an Eberhard & Co. model from the 1970s that was originally offered only as a chronograph. Its design maintains the balanced symmetry of the vintage reference, with a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock and a trapezoidal date aperture at 3 o’clock—both hallmarks of the Contodat line. Alternating soleil and azuré finishes across the dial add visual depth and a subtle nod to the brand’s design language from that era. This reference features a stainless steel case with a polished bezel, domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, a screw-down crown, and a screwed steel case back engraved with golden details and the Latin phrase “UBI TU IBI EGO.” The integrated steel bracelet, alternating polished and satin surfaces, is fitted with Eberhard’s patented 2CLICK® deployant clasp. The gray dial combines a sunburst center with an azuré-finished periphery. Applied luminous hour markers and skeletonized rhodium-plated baton hands ensure legibility, while the orange-accented small seconds hand provides a subtle contrast. A trapezoidal date window with applied frame completes the layout at 3 o’clock. Inside ticks the self-winding caliber SW290-1, displaying hours, minutes, small seconds, and date.
