The Speedmaster Professional Missions Gemini IX was created in 1997 as part of the 1997-1998 Speedmaster Mission series. This model bears the Gemini IX patch, commemorating the mission accomplished from June 3 to June 6, 1966 by Thomas P. Stafford and Eugene A. Cernan. A total of 50 pieces of the Missions suitcase with all Missions models and a '57 replica were created. An additional 150 watches were available for purchase separately.
