While the Speedmaster’s association with all six lunar missions defines its legacy, this reference focuses on material execution, movement fidelity, and artisanal dial construction rather than operational history. The 42 mm case is crafted from a proprietary platinum alloy enriched with gold, designated Pt950Au20, and features polished and brushed surfaces throughout. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the sapphire display back allows a clear view of the manually wound Calibre 321. The case is paired with a matching platinum bracelet, also finished with alternating polished and brushed links, and secured by a clasp bearing a vintage OMEGA logo. The bezel is executed in black ceramic and fitted with a tachymeter scale in white enamel, including the traditional dot over 90. The dial itself is constructed from black onyx in a stepped configuration, reinforcing the visual link to early Speedmaster references.
