Nomos Glashütte Tangente Midnight Blue / Open Case Back Ref. 133

The NOMOS Tangente midnight blue 133 is the sapphire-back version of the 35mm hand-wound Tangente with a midnight blue dial, gold-coloured hands, and matching dial typography. Within the broader Tangente line, it retains the model’s established case proportions and manually wound construction, while replacing the standard white silver-plated dial with a darker colourway. Its stainless steel case measures 35.0mm in diameter, 6.2mm in height, and 45.0mm lug to lug. The watch is fitted with sapphire crystal front and back and is water-resistant to 5 atm. The angular lugs and slim profile remain consistent with the core Tangente design. The dial is midnight blue and follows the familiar Tangente layout, with Arabic numerals, minute markers, and a recessed small-seconds register. In this version, the hands and dial typography are executed in gold colour, creating a warmer contrast against the darker dial surface. The watch is fitted on a beige vegan velour remborde strap with an 18mm lug width. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 4001, a hand-wound in-house movement measuring 23.3mm in diameter and 2.6mm in height, with 17 jewels and a power reserve of up to 53 hours. Earlier versions of this reference used Alpha; it is now fitted with DUW 4001, the current designation for NOMOS’ long-established hand-wound movement architecture. That movement family began with versions closely related to the Peseux 7001 and was progressively reworked by NOMOS into its present in-house form, with DUW 4001 representing the latest iteration of the brand’s core manually wound calibre.
