Ahoi Neomatik Atlantik / Open Case Back

The NOMOS Ahoi neomatik Atlantic 567 is the sapphire-back version of the smaller automatic Ahoi in Atlantic blue, combining the collection’s compact sport-watch format with the DUW 3001 movement. Its stainless steel case measures 36.3mm in diameter, 9.6mm in height, and 45.5mm lug to lug. The construction is secured with six screws and includes a screw-down crown with crown guard. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides is paired here with a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated to 20 atm. The dial is Atlantic blue, with hour indexes filled in sand-colored Super-LumiNova and outlined in green. The rhodium-plated hour and minute hands carry light gray luminous inlays, while the seconds hand is red. The display follows the Ahoi layout without a date indication. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 3001, an in-house automatic movement with 27 jewels and a power reserve of up to 43 hours. It is equipped with the NOMOS swing system and was developed to keep automatic watches notably slim. Through the sapphire back, the movement reveals details including the bidirectional winding rotor, the three-quarter plate, and the balance bridge. This reference is fitted on a blue-black woven textile strap with an 18mm lug width and a square stainless steel winged clasp.
