Big Pilot Tribute to 5002 / Safari

The IWC Big Pilot reference IW5010-07 'Safari' was introduced in late 2017. It features a matte titanium case and a dial inspired by the original 5002-generation Big Pilot. It is fitted with a buffalo leather strap. It first appeared in early June on the Instagram page of IWC CEO Chris Grainger-Herr as a one-off, but the positive reception made IWC put it into [limited] production. It was dubbed 'Safari' after Mr. Grainger-Herr took it with on vacation to the Kruger Park.
