Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet 140 Years Mercedes-Benz

The IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet 140 Years Mercedes-Benz IW329603 was introduced in 2026 as a limited edition of 140 pieces marking the 140th anniversary of Mercedes-Benz. It combines a 42 mm stainless steel case with a black dial, gold-plated hands and solid gold appliques, and introduces IWC’s Perpetual Calendar ProSet to the Big Pilot’s Watch. The stainless steel case measures 42 mm in diameter and 14 mm in height. It is fitted with a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, a screw-in crown and a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters. The case back carries the historic joint emblem adopted following the 1926 merger of Daimler Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie. The perpetual calendar is arranged across four subdials. The date is displayed at 3 o’clock, the month at 6 o’clock and the day of the week at 9 o’clock, while the Double Moon display at 12 o’clock shows the moon phase for both the northern and southern hemispheres. A four-digit year indication is positioned between 7 and 8 o’clock. The moon-phase mechanism is calculated to deviate by one day after 1,040 years. Unlike IWC’s earlier perpetual calendars, the ProSet mechanism allows all calendar indications to be adjusted both forward and backward through a single crown position. The system is entirely gear-based and does not require separate calendar correctors. Power comes from IWC manufacture calibre 82665, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz. It uses a bidirectional Pellaton winding system with ceramic components and offers a stated power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap incorporating IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system.
