The Zenith Chronomaster Revival El Primero A384 Tropical 03.A384.400/69.M384 debuted in 2026 as a modern reinterpretation of the 1969 A384, one of the inaugural references to house the El Primero. This version preserves the original 37mm tonneau-shaped case and overall architecture, while introducing a dial treatment inspired by naturally aged tropical dials. Its stainless steel case measures 37mm and follows the proportions of the original A384, with pump pushers and the same sharp interplay of brushed and polished surfaces that defined the model at launch. Water resistance is rated to 5 ATM, maintaining the compact Revival format while bringing the construction up to modern standards. The dial is built on a white lacquered base with brown subdials in a chocolate panda configuration. The tachymeter scale is rendered in matching tones, while the applied faceted markers and hands are rhodium-plated and filled with old-radium-colored Super-LumiNova. A red central chronograph hand adds contrast. The display includes running seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a date at 4:30. Inside is the Zenith El Primero 400, an automatic integrated column-wheel chronograph movement operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. It provides a power reserve of 50 hours and consists of 278 components. Visible through the sapphire case back, the movement features an openworked rotor shaped as the Zenith five-pointed star and an oscillating weight decorated with a Côtes de Genève motif. This reference is fitted with the stainless steel ladder bracelet originally developed for Zenith by Gay Frères in 1969, a lightweight and flexible design closely associated with the A384 and its Revival counterparts.
