The TAG Heuer Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde WBN2340.FC8329 was introduced in 2023. Based on the revised 36 mm Carrera Date launched the same year, this version pairs a polished 18-karat white-gold case with a polycrystalline diamond dial and a combination of white and pink lab-grown diamonds produced using TAG Heuer’s Plasma technology. The case measures 36 mm in diameter and is water-resistant to 50 meters. It is made of polished 18-karat white gold and fitted with a sapphire crystal case back. The crown is formed from a single 1.3-carat pink lab-grown diamond, while the rehaut surrounding the dial is finished with an azurage pattern. The dial is made from approximately 2.9 carats of polycrystalline lab-grown diamond. TAG Heuer produces this material using Chemical Vapor Deposition, or CVD, a process it refers to as Plasma technology. Multiple diamond crystals are grown together to form a single polycrystalline structure. The same process can be controlled during growth to introduce defects into the carbon lattice, allowing color to be created throughout the diamond without subsequent surface treatment. Twelve white-gold hour markers are set with white lab-grown diamonds. Skeletonized hour and minute hands indicate the time, accompanied by central seconds. A pink lab-grown diamond cut in the shape of the TAG Heuer shield is positioned at 12 o’clock below the Carrera signature. The current specifications list 14 diamonds on the dial with a combined weight of approximately 3.544 carats. The WBN2340.FC8329 is powered by TAG Heuer Calibre 7 Automatic. The movement provides hours, minutes, central seconds and a date indication, and has a stated power reserve of 42 hours. It is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch is fitted with a black alligator leather strap and an 18-karat white-gold pin buckle.
