The Rolex Day-Date 36 128235-0068, introduced in 2023, presents a decorative stone dial variant within the modern 36 mm Day-Date range. The Oyster case measures 36 mm in diameter and is crafted from 18 ct Everose gold, Rolex’s proprietary pink gold alloy, using a monobloc Oyster architecture with a screw-down case back and Twinlock screw-down winding crown. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. This reference is characterised by its green aventurine dial, a decorative stone distinguished by its finely crystallised surface. Each dial is cut from raw aventurine material and selected according to Rolex’s aesthetic criteria, resulting in natural variation in texture and appearance. The dial is fitted with hour markers in 18 ct gold set with 32 diamonds, while the Roman numerals at 6 and 9 o’clock are executed in 18 ct gold and set with an additional 24 diamonds. The day of the week is displayed in full through an aperture at 12 o’clock, with the date shown at 3 o’clock beneath a Cyclops lens. A fluted bezel in 18 ct Everose gold surrounds the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Originally conceived as a functional element of the Oyster case, the fluted bezel remains a defining design feature of the Day-Date collection. Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3255, a self-winding mechanical movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The movement incorporates a blue Parachrom hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers, and a bidirectional Perpetual rotor. It offers an approximate power reserve of 70 hours and supports instantaneous day and date displays with secure rapid setting, as well as stop-seconds for precise time adjustment. Following casing, the movement is certified as a Superlative Chronometer. The watch is fitted with the President bracelet in 18 ct Everose gold, composed of semi-circular three-piece links. It is secured by a concealed folding Crownclasp and integrates seamlessly with the case.
