The Rolex Datejust 36 126234-0071 debuted in 2026 as a white Rolesor interpretation of the Datejust collection, combining the 36 mm Oyster case with a dark grey dial, a fluted bezel, and a Jubilee bracelet. In this reference, the familiar Datejust formula is retained, but the dial introduces a more specific decorative treatment through diamond-set Roman numerals at VI and IX, giving the watch a different balance from versions with conventional baton markers. Its Oyster case measures 36 mm in diameter and follows the established architecture of the Datejust line, with a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back, and Twinlock screw-down winding crown. The case is executed in white Rolesor, Rolex’s combination of Oystersteel and white gold, and is fitted with a fluted bezel in white gold. That bezel remains one of the defining features of the Datejust, giving the watch a more formal and immediately recognisable profile than domed-bezel versions in the same family. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal incorporates the Cyclops lens over the date, and water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The dial is executed in dark grey with a sunray finish. The radial brushing creates shifting reflections across the surface, while the darker tone gives the watch a more restrained and neutral base than brighter or warmer Datejust dials. The watch is fitted with a Jubilee bracelet in Oystersteel, with five-piece links, a folding Oysterclasp, and the Easylink comfort extension system allowing approximately 5 mm of adjustment. In this configuration, the Jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel preserve the Datejust’s most traditional visual language, while the dark grey dial and diamond-set Roman numerals give the watch a slightly more decorative and more contemporary character.
