The Patek Philippe Nautilus Flyback Chronograph Travel Time 5990/1421G-001 is a Haute Joaillerie execution combining a flyback chronograph with a dual time-zone display, distinguished by the use of baguette-cut diamonds and sapphires across the case, bezel, dial, and bracelet. The watch is housed in a white-gold Nautilus case measuring 40.5 mm in diameter (10–4 o’clock) with a thickness of 12.53 mm. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. A screw-down crown is fitted, and sapphire crystals are used on both the dial side and the case back. Gem-setting comprises a total of 406 baguette-cut diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 33.11 carats and 192 baguette-cut sapphires with a combined weight of approximately 17.47 carats. The case is set with 38 baguette diamonds (approximately 3.48 carats), the crown with 12 baguette diamonds (approximately 0.20 carat), and the bezel with 32 baguette diamonds (approximately 4.47 carats) and 32 baguette sapphires (approximately 6.38 carats). The hour markers consist of four baguette-cut sapphires (approximately 0.08 carat) and six princess-cut sapphires (approximately 0.03 carat). The bracelet is set with 324 baguette-cut diamonds (approximately 24.96 carats) and 150 baguette-cut sapphires (approximately 10.98 carats). The dial is finished in sunburst charcoal grey with a black-gradient rim and horizontal embossing. The display includes a central chronograph seconds hand, a 60-minute counter, and a date aperture. The Travel Time function provides local and home time indications via two centrally mounted hour hands, accompanied by day/night indicators for each time zone in apertures. Powering the watch is the self-winding calibre CH 28-520 C FUS. The movement measures 31 mm in diameter and 6.95 mm in thickness, comprises 370 components and 34 jewels, and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz). It incorporates a flyback chronograph, a dual time-zone mechanism with the date coupled to local time, and delivers a power reserve specified between approximately 45 and 55 hours. Winding is via a 21K gold central rotor. The movement features a Gyromax balance, a Spiromax balance spring, and bears the Patek Philippe Seal.
