Patek Philippe World Time 7129 Yellow Gold / Red Ref. 7129J-001
The Patek Philippe World Time 7129 Yellow Gold / Red 7129J-001 has a 36 mm yellow gold case, measures 8.83 mm thick, and is water resistant to 30 metres.
The Patek Philippe Complications 7129J-001 7129J-001 debuted in 2026 as a yellow gold version of the World Time, combining the established 24-time-zone display with a carmine red dial and matching strap. Its case is crafted in yellow gold and measures 36 mm in diameter with a thickness of 8.83 mm. The bezel is non-gemset, and the watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. The dial is executed in lacquered carmine red and features a hand-guilloched old-basket-weave motif at the centre. Yellow gold applied hour markers and lozenge-shaped hands are used for the local time display. The city disk is also finished in carmine red, with the city names printed in white. In the World Time layout, the local time for the city positioned at 12 o’clock is indicated centrally, while the surrounding displays show the corresponding time across all 24 time zones. Inside is the self-winding Patek Philippe calibre 240 HU, an ultra-thin World Time movement displaying 24-hour and day/night indications for all 24 time zones. It measures 30 mm in diameter and 3.88 mm in thickness, consists of 229 parts, uses 33 jewels, and is wound by an off-centre 22K gold mini-rotor. The movement operates at 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour and offers a minimum power reserve of 48 hours. The World Time mechanism is based on the system developed by Louis Cottier in the 1930s, while the push-piece correction system at 10 o’clock, allowing simultaneous correction of all World Time displays, is covered by a 1999 patent. The watch is fitted with a shiny carmine red alligator leather strap with square scales and a yellow gold prong buckle.
