The Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon 6002R-001 is a double-faced grand complication wristwatch combining twelve complications with extensive Rare Handcrafts, presented in a hand-engraved rose-gold case. The case is crafted in rose gold and measures 44 mm in diameter with a thickness of 17.35 mm. It is humidity- and dust-protected but not water-resistant. The case, lugs, crowns, slide piece, hands, and fold-over clasp are entirely hand-engraved. A sapphire crystal case back reveals the astronomical indications on the reverse side. The front dial is executed on an 18K gold plate and finished in brown Grand Feu champlevé and cloisonné enamel, with applied rose-gold Roman numerals. Leaf-shaped rose-gold hands display the hours and minutes of mean solar time. Apertures indicate the day, month, and leap year, while a retrograde hand displays the date. A moon-phase display is integrated into the perpetual calendar. The reverse side of the watch displays a celestial sky chart representing the visible movement of the stars and Moon in the Northern Hemisphere. Indications include sidereal hours and minutes, the sky chart, an ellipse indicating the visible portion of the sky for a given latitude, the meridian, the time of meridian passage of Sirius and the Moon, and the angular motion of the Moon. Powering the watch is the manually wound calibre R TO 27 QR SID LU CL. The movement measures 38 mm in diameter and 12.61 mm in thickness, comprises 705 components and 55 jewels, and operates at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour (3 Hz). It incorporates a minute repeater striking on two “cathedral” gongs, a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar with retrograde date, astronomical indications, and both mean solar and sidereal time displays. The power reserve is specified between approximately 38 and 48 hours. The movement is fitted with a Breguet balance spring and bears the Patek Philippe Seal.
