The Panerai Radiomir California PAM02088 debuted in 2025 as a limited edition that reinterprets the historic “California” or “Error-Proof” dial. While the original design combines Roman numerals on the upper half and Arabic numerals on the lower, this edition replaces the Arabic figures with Chinese numerals — a variation informally referred to as the “Chinafornia” dial. The watch features a 45 mm stainless steel case with the signature Radiomir wire lugs and a polished bezel. It is equipped with a domed sapphire crystal and a solid case back, and offers water resistance to 10 bar (100 meters). The matte black dial displays luminous Roman and Chinese numerals along with luminous hour markers, paired with the Radiomir’s characteristic baton-style hands. Powering the watch is the Panerai Caliber P.5000, a hand-wound mechanical movement developed in-house. It beats at 21,600 vph and delivers an eight-day power reserve from its twin-barrel construction. The movement features 21 jewels, a Glucydur® balance, and Incabloc® shock protection. The Radiomir California PAM02088 is fitted with a brown leather strap and a stainless-steel pin buckle.
