The NOMOS Tangente gold neomatik 38 Update doré 196 debuted in 2026 as a 38.5mm automatic Tangente with NOMOS’ peripheral ring-date display, executed in 18 kt gold. It shares its case, dial layout, and DUW 6101 calibre with the standard Tangente gold neomatik 38 Update, but is distinguished by gold hands in place of the blued handset. Its case is crafted in 18 kt gold and measures 38.5mm in diameter, 7.4mm in height, and 47.3mm lug to lug. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner side and a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated to 3 atm. The straight case sides, angled lugs, and slim profile remain consistent with the established Tangente design. The dial is galvanized and white silver-plated. The date is arranged around the outer edge of the dial and indicated by two red markers, making the full month visible at a glance. The off-centre small-seconds register is recessed, while the typography and minute markers follow the Tangente’s established graphic layout. In this doré version, the hands are executed in gold, creating a tone-on-tone pairing with the gold case. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 6101, an automatic in-house movement measuring 34.0mm in diameter and 3.6mm in height, with 42 jewels and a power reserve of up to 50 hours. The calibre incorporates NOMOS’ ring-date mechanism, with the date ring positioned around the movement, and allows quick date adjustment in both directions. This reference is fitted on a Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with a 19mm lug width.
