The NOMOS Tangente neomatik blue gold 191 is the sapphire-back version of the 35mm automatic Tangente distinguished by a blue dial with sunburst finish. Within the Tangente neomatik line, it keeps the model’s familiar proportions while introducing a dial treatment that differs from the flatter finishes used on other variants. Its stainless steel case measures 35.0mm in diameter, 6.9mm in height, and 43.0mm lug to lug. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner side and a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The straight case sides and angled lugs remain consistent with the established Tangente design. The dial is galvanized in blue and finished with a sunburst brushing. According to NOMOS, the colour effect is created in part by a thin layer of gold applied in the first step of galvanization. The display retains Tangente’s familiar layout, with Arabic numerals, minute markers, and a recessed small-seconds register, while the hands are rhodium-plated. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 3001, an automatic in-house movement measuring 28.8mm in diameter and 3.2mm in height, with 27 jewels and a power reserve of up to 43 hours. It is equipped with the NOMOS swing system and was developed to allow automatic watches to retain a notably slim profile. This reference is fitted on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with an 18mm lug width.
