Nomos Glashütte Tangente Neomatik Platinum Gray / Open Ref. 189

The NOMOS Tangente neomatik platinum gray 189 is the sapphire-back version of the 35mm automatic Tangente with a rhodium-plated dial and matching rhodium-plated hands. Within the Tangente neomatik line, it retains the model’s standard case proportions and DUW 3001 movement, while shifting the visual emphasis toward a monochrome metallic palette. Its stainless steel case measures 35.0mm in diameter, 6.9mm in height, and 43.0mm lug to lug. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner side and a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The straight case sides and angled lugs remain consistent with the established Tangente design. The dial is galvanized and rhodium-plated, with Tangente’s characteristic Arabic numerals, minute markers, and a recessed small-seconds register. Both the main hands and the dial surface are finished in a matching metallic tone, giving this version a more restrained appearance than the coloured neomatik variants. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 3001, an automatic in-house movement measuring 28.8mm in diameter and 3.2mm in height, with 27 jewels and a power reserve of up to 43 hours. The calibre is equipped with the NOMOS swing system and was developed to allow automatic watches to retain a notably slim profile. This reference is fitted on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with an 18mm lug width.
