The NOMOS Tangente 38 – 160 Jahre Juwelier Fridrich 164.S21 debuted in 2024 as a limited edition of 100 pieces created to celebrate the 160th anniversary of Munich-based retailer Juwelier Fridrich. This version of the Tangente 38 retains the familiar angular stainless steel case and clean typography of the standard model, while introducing distinctive details in honor of the jubilee. The stainless steel case measures 37.5 mm in diameter and 6.8 mm in height, with a lug-to-lug length of 47.7 mm. It is fitted with sapphire crystal on both the front and back, the latter engraved to mark the anniversary and edition number. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters (3 atm). The enamel white dial is paired with gold-colored hands, lending the watch an elegant, almost pocket-watch-like quality. At six o’clock, the customary “Made in Germany” text appears in gold rather than black, a discreet but meaningful reference to the occasion being commemorated. Powering the watch is Alpha, the hand-wound Alpha movement produced in-house by NOMOS. This caliber measures 2.6 mm in height and offers a power reserve of approximately 43 hours. Visible through the sapphire crystal back, it is finished in the Glashütte tradition with details such as blued screws and Glashütte ribbing. The Tangente 38 – 160 Jahre Juwelier Fridrich 164.S21 is fitted with a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather strap and was made in a run of only 100 numbered pieces, available exclusively through Juwelier Fridrich.
