The NOMOS Tangente neomatik 38 Update 147.U8 debuted in 2026 as a one-of-a-kind Twice Unique execution in the Scribble Dark collection, based on the regular Tangente neomatik 38 Update in stainless steel. Within the Twice Unique format, each design is created as an inseparable pair in stainless steel and 18 kt gold, with five models per collection. In Scribble Dark, Tangente neomatik 38 Update is one of those five models, its dial reworked through hand engraving by German jewelry artist and master goldsmith Saskia Licina. Its case is executed in stainless steel and follows the Tangente neomatik 38 Update proportions, measuring 38.5mm in diameter, 7.4mm in height, and 47.3mm lug to lug. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner side and is water-resistant to 5 atm. The straight case, angled lugs, and slim automatic profile remain unchanged from the underlying model. The dial is specific to the Scribble Dark collection. As with the lighter Scribble execution, the dial surface is engraved by hand with fine looping lines, here on a ruthenium-coated base. In this version, the Tangente neomatik 38 Update dispenses with numerals, indexes, and the usual numbered ring-date markings. The peripheral date display remains in place, but the individual day markers along the outer edge are left unnumbered, and the current date is indicated directly rather than framed in the standard way. This treatment replaces the regular white silver-plated dial and gives the date display a different visual structure while retaining the underlying update mechanism. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 6101, an automatic in-house movement measuring 34.0mm in diameter and 3.6mm in height, with 42 jewels and a power reserve of up to 50 hours. DUW 6101 incorporates NOMOS’ ring-date mechanism and remains the base calibre for Tangente neomatik 38 Update. This reference is fitted on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with a 19mm lug width.
