Tangente 33 Duo / Open Case Back
Ref. 127
The NOMOS Tangente 33 duo 127 is the sapphire-back version of the smaller two-hand Tangente, reducing the model’s design to hours and minutes in a 32.8mm case. Its stainless steel case measures 32.8mm in diameter, 6.5mm in height, and 42.2mm lug to lug. It is fitted with sapphire crystal front and back and is water-resistant to 5 atm; earlier versions were rated to 3 atm. The dial is galvanized and white silver-plated, with Tangente’s familiar typography but without a small-seconds register. Gold hands and dark mocha-colored numerals define the display. This reference is fitted on a beige vegan velour remborde strap with a 17mm lug width. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 4001 Duo, a hand-wound in-house movement measuring 23.3mm in diameter and 2.6mm in height, with 17 jewels and a power reserve of up to 53 hours. It is based on NOMOS’ long-running hand-wound movement architecture, adapted here for two-hand use with a modified second wheel and smaller staff. Earlier versions of this reference debuted with the Alpha.2 movement, reflecting the gradual evolution of this caliber family.
