Orion Neomatik New Black

The NOMOS Orion Neomatik New Black 396 is a 36.4mm automatic Orion with a black galvanized dial, gold-coloured applied markers, rhodium-plated hands, and the DUW 3001 calibre. It uses the neomatik case format, combining the Orion’s rounded profile and tapered lugs with a slim automatic movement. The stainless steel case measures 36.4mm in diameter, 8.5mm in height, and 45mm from lug to lug. It has a domed sapphire crystal front and a domed sapphire crystal case back. The Orion case is defined by its lenticular profile, with the curved case shape continued by the crystal and dial. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The black galvanized dial has applied gold hour markers, fine printed minute and seconds markings, and a recessed small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The rhodium-plated hands add contrast against the dark dial surface, while the gold neomatik signature refers to the automatic movement inside. The display consists of central hours and minutes with subsidiary seconds. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 3001, an automatic in-house calibre measuring 12 ¾ lignes in diameter and 3.2mm in height. It has 27 jewels, a power reserve of up to 43 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with an 18mm lug width.
