Orion Neomatik 41 Date New Black

The NOMOS Orion Neomatik 41 Date New Black 366 is the black-dial version of the 40.5mm Orion Neomatik 41 Date. The New Black execution combines a black galvanized dial with rhodium-plated applied markers, gold hands, a gold neomatik signature, and a black date window at 3 o’clock, giving the date display the same dial-side colour treatment as the rest of the watch. The stainless steel case measures 40.5mm in diameter, 9.4mm in height, and 50.5mm from lug to lug. It has a domed sapphire crystal front with anti-reflective coating, plus a domed sapphire crystal case back. The Orion case keeps its lenticular profile and tapered lugs, while the larger diameter gives the dial and date display more space. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The black galvanized dial uses applied hour markers, fine printed minute and seconds markings, and a recessed small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The date window is positioned at 3 o’clock, with gold-coloured numerals on a black background. The display consists of central hours and minutes, subsidiary seconds, and date. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 6101, an automatic in-house calibre with a patented date mechanism. It measures 15 ½ lignes in diameter and 3.6mm in height, has a power reserve of up to 42 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system.
