Orion Gold Neomatik
Ref. 348
The NOMOS Orion Gold Neomatik 348 pairs the Orion case design with an 18k yellow gold case and the automatic DUW 3001 calibre. It keeps the collection’s restrained dial architecture, with a white silver-plated surface, fine hour markers, tempered blue hands, and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock. The case measures 36.4mm in diameter, 8.5mm in height, and 45mm from lug to lug. It is made from 18k yellow gold and has a domed sapphire crystal front with anti-reflective coating on the inner side, plus a domed sapphire crystal case back. The Orion case is defined by its rounded, lenticular profile and tapered lugs. Water resistance is rated to 3 atm. The galvanized white silver-plated dial uses fine indexes and a recessed small seconds sub-dial, keeping the display open and reduced. The tempered blue steel hands provide contrast against the pale dial surface. The display consists of central hours and minutes with subsidiary seconds. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 3001, an automatic in-house calibre measuring 12 ¾ lignes in diameter and 3.2mm in height. It has 37 jewels, a power reserve of up to 43 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with an 18mm lug width.
