Orion Neomatik 39 Midnight Blue

The NOMOS Orion Neomatik 39 Midnight Blue 343 is the midnight blue dial version of the 38.5mm Orion neomatik, combining the larger automatic Orion case with the DUW 3001 calibre. The reference is defined by its dark blue dial, rhodium-plated hands, diamond-polished indexes, and neon orange central seconds hand. The stainless steel case measures 38.5mm in diameter, 8.7mm in height, and 47.5mm from lug to lug. It has a domed sapphire crystal front with anti-reflective coating on the inner side, plus a domed sapphire crystal case back. The Orion case retains its rounded, lenticular profile, tapered lugs, narrow bezel, and slim automatic construction. Water resistance is rated to 5 atm. The dial is listed by NOMOS as midnight blue. Across production, the shade appears to have become slightly darker and less saturated, while the basic dial layout remained unchanged. The dial uses applied indexes, fine printed minute and seconds markings, and a recessed small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The rhodium-plated hands contrast with the dark dial surface, while the neon orange seconds hand provides the main colour accent. Power comes from the NOMOS DUW 3001, an automatic in-house calibre measuring 12 ¾ lignes in diameter and 3.2mm in height. It has 27 jewels, a power reserve of up to 43 hours, and uses the NOMOS swing system. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The watch is supplied on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan remborde strap with a 19mm lug width.
