Lambda Deep Blue
Ref. 935
The NOMOS Lambda deep blue 935 was introduced in 2015 as a 42mm white gold Lambda with a deep blue dial. This reference combines an 18k white gold case with rhodium-plated hands, a large power reserve display, and the manually wound DUW 1001. It belongs to NOMOS’ Atelier line and uses the same long-running movement architecture as the white silver-plated Lambda, but with a darker dial execution. The white gold case measures 42.0mm in diameter, 9.0mm in height, and 51.6mm from lug to lug. It is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner side and a sapphire crystal case back. Water resistance is rated at 3 atm, making the watch splash-proof. The round precious-metal case gives Lambda a more formal structure than the tonneau-shaped Lux, while the slim profile keeps the watch relatively restrained despite its 42mm diameter. The deep blue dial is defined by the large power reserve indicator, which spans a wide 297-degree arc across the upper portion of the dial. A small seconds display is positioned at 6 o’clock, visually counterbalancing the extended power reserve scale. The rhodium-plated hands keep the display within a cool tonal range, while the dark dial gives this reference stronger contrast than the white silver-plated Lambda models. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 1001, a manually wound Atelier movement with twin mainspring barrels and a power reserve of up to 84 hours. It measures 3.6mm in height and 32.0mm in diameter, with 29 jewels. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back and includes Glashütte-style finishing, including a hand-engraved balance cock. The watch is fitted to a black cushioned remborde Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with a 22mm lug width.
