Nomos Glashütte Club 36 Mk2 Ref. 701.1

The NOMOS Club 701.1 debuted in 2023 as the 36mm hand-wound Club powered by the Alpha movement. The reference has since been updated with the DUW 4001 caliber, while the case geometry was also revised, with the present specification listing a 44.3mm lug-to-lug length. It remains the compact hand-wound Club with a white silver-plated dial, closed stainless steel back, and 10 atm water resistance. The stainless steel case measures 36.0mm in diameter and 8.0mm in height. It has a screwed construction, a stainless steel back, and domed sapphire crystal glass. The 10 atm water-resistance rating makes the watch suitable for swimming. Its broad bezel, curved lugs, and compact footprint define the case architecture, with the shorter current lug span giving the watch a more contained presence on the wrist. The galvanized white silver-plated dial uses the characteristic Club layout, with large outlined Arabic numerals, baton hour markers, and a recessed small seconds display at 6 o’clock with a grooved surface. The black hands have red Super-LumiNova inlays, matched by red accents on the dial and the stitching of the strap. The numerals and hour markers are also treated with luminous material. Inside is the NOMOS DUW 3001, a manually wound in-house movement that supersedes the Alpha caliber used when this reference first appeared. It measures 2.6mm in height, has a diameter of 23.3mm, and offers a power reserve of up to 53 hours. The watch is fitted to a brown Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with red stitching and an 18mm lug width.
