The Glashütte Original SeaQ 1-39-11-09-61-70 debuted in 2024 as an update to the original closed-back version introduced in 2020. The key novelty lies in the addition of a sapphire crystal case back, offering a full view of the in-house calibre while preserving full compliance with DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 diver’s watch standards. This SeaQ features a 39.5 mm stainless steel case, vertically brushed and fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel. The bezel includes a scratch-resistant blue ceramic inlay and a Super-LumiNova triangle at 12 o’clock for dive time tracking. Water resistance is rated to 20 bar (200 meters). The galvanic blue dial is decorated with a subtle sunray finish and hosts applied Arabic numerals and indexes filled with Super-LumiNova. The hour and minute hands are similarly treated to ensure strong visibility in low-light conditions. Power comes from the Glashütte Original calibre 39-11, an automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. Visible through the exhibition case back, it is equipped with a swan-neck regulator, Glashütte three-quarter plate, and a skeletonized rotor with double-G logo. This reference is mounted on a stainless steel bracelet with an integrated 8-step fine adjustment mechanism, combining security and comfort for everyday wear and underwater performance.
