The Breitling Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar PB1921251B1P1, introduced in 2024, represents one of the most technically advanced executions of the Navitimer in regular production. It combines the collection’s defining circular slide rule architecture with a perpetual calendar chronograph, extending the Navitimer’s original aviation-focused functionality into a more complex mechanical format. The watch is housed in a 43 mm case combining stainless steel and platinum, with the platinum used for the bidirectional bezel. Case thickness measures 15.14 mm, while lug-to-lug distance is 49.07 mm. The case is fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides and a sapphire case back. Water resistance is rated at 30 metres. As on other Navitimer models, the bezel incorporates the circular slide rule, a core design and functional element of the line since 1952. The dial is anthracite and features a multi-register layout integrating the perpetual calendar and chronograph indications. Raised metal rings around the subdials add depth to the dial architecture, while the moonphase display at 12 o’clock forms part of the calendar display. The black outer slide rule and contrasting white inner scale reinforce the model’s high-contrast layout. Applied indexes and the hour and minute hands are filled with luminous material. The watch is powered by the Breitling manufacture calibre B19, an automatic perpetual calendar chronograph movement. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, consists of 374 components, and delivers a power reserve of approximately 96 hours. The movement uses a column wheel and vertical clutch for the chronograph mechanism and is certified as a chronometer. Its perpetual calendar is designed to account automatically for varying month lengths and leap years.
