The Breitling Chronomat B01 Chronograph 42 RB0158101Q1S1 represents the full red-gold case execution within the 2026 Chronomat B01 42 range. It has a 42mm case in 18k red gold, paired with a brown dial, black chronograph counters, and a brown rubber strap. The case measures 13.77mm thick, reflecting the slimmer profile introduced with the 2026 redesign, while retaining the Chronomat’s rider-tab bezel and broad 1980s-derived case language. The 18k red-gold case is water resistant to 200 meters and fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Its unidirectional ratcheted bezel is also executed in red gold and carries raised rider tabs, numerals, and minute indexes. As part of the 2026 Chronomat B01 42 update, the bezel construction was simplified into a single-piece component integrating the bezel ring, insert, rider tabs, and screws. The crown remains screw-locked with two gaskets, while the crown guard has been reduced in size compared with the earlier generation. The brown dial is specific to the red-gold configuration and is arranged with black subdials for the chronograph indications. Applied hour markers and central hands carry Super-LumiNova, and the display includes central hours and minutes, small seconds, chronograph seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters, and a date aperture. The rehaut no longer includes the previous 1/100 scale, giving the outer dial area a cleaner layout. Inside the watch is Caliber B01, a COSC-certified self-winding manufacture chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 47 jewels. This reference is fitted to a straight brown rubber strap with an 18k red-gold folding clasp.
