The Breitling Chronomat B01 Chronograph 42 PB0158101C1A1 is part of the 2026 Chronomat redesign, which updated the collection’s case and bracelet architecture while retaining the rider-tab bezel and the design language introduced with the 1980s Chronomat. This reference combines a stainless steel case with a platinum bezel, an ice-blue dial with black chronograph counters, and a stainless steel Rouleaux bracelet. The case measures 42mm in diameter and 13.77mm thick, reduced from the earlier 15.1mm profile. The case is water resistant to 200 meters and fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Its unidirectional ratcheted platinum bezel has raised rider tabs, numerals, and minute indexes. For the 2026 Chronomat B01 42, Breitling revised the bezel construction into a single-piece component integrating the bezel ring, insert, rider tabs, and screws. The rehaut no longer carries the previous 1/100 scale, and the crown guard has been reduced in size. The ice-blue dial is configured with black chronograph counters, applied hour markers, central hands, and Super-LumiNova on the hands and indexes. Its display includes central hours and minutes, small seconds, chronograph seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters, and a date aperture. Inside the watch is Caliber B01, a COSC-certified self-winding manufacture chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 47 jewels. This reference is fitted to a stainless steel Rouleaux bracelet with a concealed butterfly clasp and Breitling’s patented micro-adjustment system.
