The Breitling Chronomat B01 Chronograph 42 AB0158101A1A1 is part of the 2026 Chronomat redesign, which updated the collection’s case and bracelet architecture while retaining the model’s established 1980s design language. This stainless steel reference combines a 42mm case with a white dial, black chronograph counters, and a stainless steel Rouleaux bracelet. The case measures 13.77mm thick, reduced from the earlier 15.1mm profile, and forms part of a more fully integrated construction with concealed lugs. The stainless steel case is water resistant to 200 meters and fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The unidirectional ratcheted bezel retains the Chronomat’s raised rider tabs, numerals, and minute indexes, but the 2026 chronograph construction streamlines the bezel assembly into a single-piece component. The crown guard has also been reduced in size, while the rehaut no longer carries the previous 1/100 scale, giving the dial a cleaner outer perimeter. The white dial uses black counters for the chronograph indications, creating a high-contrast layout around the central hands and applied hour markers. Super-LumiNova is used on the hands and indexes, and the display includes central hours and minutes, small seconds, chronograph seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters, and a date aperture. The arrangement follows the familiar Chronomat B01 layout, but with the more restrained dial architecture introduced for the 2026 generation. Inside the watch is Caliber B01, a COSC-certified self-winding manufacture chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch. The movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses 47 jewels. This reference is fitted to a stainless steel Rouleaux bracelet with a concealed butterfly clasp and Breitling’s patented micro-adjustment system, allowing the bracelet to be adjusted on both sides of the clasp while worn on the wrist.
