Carrera Plasma Diamant d'Avant Garde

Ref. CBN5A91.BZ0000

The TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Nanograph Plasma Diamant d’Avant-Garde CBN5A91.BZ0000 was introduced in 2023 as part of TAG Heuer’s continued development of its Plasma lab-grown diamond technology. The watch combines a 44 mm black sandblasted aluminum case with lab-grown diamonds set into the case, bezel, dial and bracelet, and is powered by a COSC-certified automatic chronograph movement with tourbillon and carbon-composite hairspring. The 44 mm case is made of sandblasted anodized aluminum and is water-resistant to 100 meters. A total of 48 lab-grown diamonds weighing approximately 3.836 carats are incorporated into the case, while the fixed bezel is set with a further 26 diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 1.950 carats. The crown is formed from a single 2.5-carat lab-grown diamond, while the steel chronograph pushers are finished with black DLC coating. The dial is built from lab-grown diamond material and combines individual stones with polycrystalline diamond components. TAG Heuer produces these elements using Chemical Vapor Deposition, or CVD, a process it refers to as Plasma technology. The 2023 release describes the dial as comprising 12 diamonds and three polycrystalline diamond plates, with black polycrystalline diamond chronograph counters positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock. Twelve white-gold hour markers are set with additional lab-grown diamonds. The hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated, finished with matte black lacquer and filled with white Super-LumiNova, while the central chronograph seconds hand is also rhodium-plated. The CBN5A91.BZ0000 is powered by TAG Heuer Calibre Heuer 02T COSC Nanograph. This automatic manufacture movement combines a chronograph with a one-minute tourbillon and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz. It has a stated power reserve of 65 hours and uses a carbon-composite hairspring produced with carbon nanotube technology. The watch is fitted with a black sandblasted aluminum bracelet based on TAG Heuer’s H-link Carrera bracelet construction. The bracelet is set with 34 lab-grown diamonds weighing approximately 1.9 carats and is secured by a double-folding steel clasp with safety pushers.
