Luminor 44 8 Giorni Brunito / Anthracite
Ref. PAM01733
The Panerai Luminor 8 Giorni PAM01733 was introduced in 2026 as a 44mm steel Luminor with a hand-worked Brunito finish. The reference combines the 1960s-derived Luminor case architecture with an anthracite sandwich dial, small seconds at 9 o’clock, and the hand-wound P.5000 calibre. Its eight-day power reserve refers to Panerai’s historical use of long-running Angelus SF240 movements in watches made for naval divers. The 44mm case starts as steel with a black PVD coating, which is then partially reduced by hand through brushing. This process exposes softer grey tones along the edges and gives each case a slightly different surface appearance. The watch retains the Luminor crown-protecting bridge, an open case back, and a 30 bar water-resistance rating, equal to approximately 300 meters. The anthracite sandwich dial has a circular brushed finish that changes in appearance with the light. Luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers support legibility, while the small seconds display at 9 o’clock keeps the layout within Panerai’s traditional instrument format. The “8 Giorni” inscription identifies the extended power-reserve configuration. Inside is the Panerai P.5000, a hand-wound movement with hours, minutes, and small seconds. It measures 15½ lignes and 4.5mm thick, with 21 jewels, 146 components, a Glucydur balance, Incabloc Parechoc anti-shock protection, and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. Two barrels provide an eight-day power reserve.
