The Universal Geneve Polerouter UGPO009 debuted in 2026 as part of the Polerouter Prêt-à-Porter collection of Universal Genève. The model belongs to the modern revival of the Polerouter line, originally introduced in 1954 and designed by Gérald Genta for Scandinavian Airlines’ pioneering polar flights. This version features a 37mm 18k rose gold case with the characteristic twisted lugs associated with the Polerouter. The bezel is set with diamonds, framing a white mother-of-pearl dial with a crosshair layout and sunray-finished inner bezel. The dial construction combines a domed central surface with a textured outer ring, reflecting the design language of the contemporary Polerouter Prêt-à-Porter models. Powering the watch is the Universal Geneve caliber UG-110, a self-winding movement with micro-rotor automatic winding. The Polerouter Prêt-à-Porter line represents the permanent interpretation of the historic model within the revived collection, preserving the aesthetic codes of the original design while adapting them to contemporary production.
