Universal Genève Tribute to Compax Red Gold / White
Ref. RU281121A1X1
The Universal Genève Tribute to Compax RU281121A1X1 debuted in 2025 as part of a six-piece series reinterpreting the Compax chronographs worn by Nina Rindt during the 1960s. This model features a 36 mm case in 18 k red gold, 12.67 mm thick and 44.44 mm from lug to lug. The fixed aluminum bezel carries a tachymeter scale, while the cambered sapphire crystal—anti-reflective on both sides—covers a white grand feu enamel dial with black enamel chronograph counters arranged in a classical tri-compax layout. The black varnished hour and minute hands, white counter hands, and red chronograph seconds hand are all treated with Super-LumiNova. Powering the watch is the manual-winding Universal Genève Caliber 281, a column-wheel chronograph measuring 28.5 mm × 7.10 mm, running at 18,000 vph with a power reserve of about 36 hours. Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, and chronograph with 30-minute and 12-hour registers. The Tribute to Compax is water-resistant to 50 meters and paired with a taupe-and-black calfskin bund strap handcrafted by Satoru Hosoi, fitted with an 18 k red-gold pin buckle signed Universal Genève / HOSOÏ-PARIS.
